Smoothing Out a Background in Photoshop

1. Open up the photo and adjust as if you need

2. Sample a good colour from your background using the dropper tool

3. Use the selection tool to select the background

4. At the bottom of your screen, click the button called “Refine Edge”.

5. Smooth Value should be 3   Feather Value 7.5   Contrast/Expand value -5

6. Click on the paintbrush and select a medium-sized, soft-edged brush

7. Change the opacity to about 60% and begin brushing over your background

8. Done!
